FAQ
Q: How does the PureVent reduce CO2 rebreathing?
A: Three vents engineered into the rear of the mask exhaust expired CO2 so the animal does not rebreathe its own exhaled gas. Pawprint Oxygen tested this as up to an 80 percent reduction versus traditional pet oxygen masks.
Q: How do I size a PureVent mask to my patient?
A: Small fits pets under 5 lb (2.7 in depth, 3 in diameter). Medium fits 5 to 22 lb (3.7 in depth, 3 in diameter). Large fits 22 lb and up, including brachycephalic / flat-faced breeds (5 in depth, 4.5 in diameter). If between sizes, the manufacturer recommends measuring the muzzle and sizing up.
Q: Can the mask be reused between patients?
A: Yes. Wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse clean, and let it air dry before the next patient. Replace if cracked or visibly degraded.
Q: Does it work for cats and exotic animals?
A: Yes. The Small size is commonly used for cats and exotics under 5 lb. Choose Medium or Large for larger cats and small dogs based on weight.
Q: What is included?
A: Each mask includes 7 ft of standard oxygen tubing. Single-size listings (PP-2300, PP-2301, PP-2302) are priced per mask. The Set (PP-2400) is priced per set of three masks, one of each size.
Cleaning and Care
Wash the mask between patients with mild soap and warm water. Rinse several times in clean water and allow to air-dry completely before use. Inspect the silicone grip and polycarbonate shell for cracks, deformation, or discoloration before each deployment; replace if any damage is found.
