About Masimo EMMA Capnometers and Airway Adapters
Masimo EMMA is a mainstream capnometer that measures end-tidal CO2 (EtCO2) and respiration rate through a single-patient-use airway adapter. EMMA airway adapters
EMMA airway adapters are single-patient use and come in two sizes: adult/pediatric and infant. Use a new adapter for each patient. The capnometer is available as the 9632 EMMA capnometer kit (mmHg) and as the EMMA Mainstream spot check capnometer.

What is the difference between the EMMA adult/pediatric and infant airway adapters?
Patient size. Masimo makes the EMMA airway adapter in an adult/pediatric size (17448, box of 25) and an infant size (17449, box of 10).
Can a Masimo EMMA airway adapter be reused?
No. EMMA airway adapters are single-patient use, so each patient gets a new adapter.
