What is the AP-416 Half Set used for?
Is the AP-416 compatible with all Sapphire IV pumps?
How do I load the AP-416 Half Set into the Sapphire pump?
- Ensure the pump is turned on and the door is fully open.
- Remove the protective caps from the AP-416 Half Set and inspect for damage or contamination.
- Prime the tubing manually if required, following your protocol, to remove air before connecting to the patient.
- Insert the cassette portion of the tubing into the pump’s dedicated cassette slot. Align it so the cassette sits flat and the tubing is straight.
- Gently close the pump door. Listen for an audible “click” indicating secure engagement.
- Once primed and loaded, connect the distal luer lock end of the AP-416 to the patient’s IV access or to the existing IV line (as needed for transfer).
