Questions:
How do I keep a shoulder mic from falling off my shirt?
Hang the Tactical Mic Klip, part tmk001, on a uniform button and pass the microphone's rear clip through it. The button holds the mic. The fabric does not. The shirt and the microphone stay as they are.
Will this fit a Motorola or Harris microphone?
Yes, when the microphone has a clip on the back. Motorola and Harris corded and Bluetooth models are the ones this klip is built around. A microphone with no rear clip is not the fit.
Does it work with a Bluetooth mic?
Yes. Seat a Bluetooth mic the same way as a corded mic. Hang the klip upright for a normal position. Invert it when a corded mic runs over the shoulder and the mic sits upside down on the shirt.
Can it go on the shoulder strap, or only on the shirt front?
Both. Front shirt button, epaulet, or shoulder-strap button. On the front, put it on the button closest to the face.
How is this different from a mic loop or a Velcro epaulet strap?
A vest mic loop ties to body armor and threads out between the buttons. A Motorola RLN4294A is a leather strap that wraps the epaulet. A bungee mic keeper lets the mic pull out and snap back. The Tactical Mic Klip is simpler. It hangs on the button you already have, and the mic clips into it.
Does it change the uniform or the microphone?
No. No sewing. No holes. No parts added to the microphone. The button and the mic clip you already carry do the work.
Is this the Tactical Mic Klip 2?
No. This is the Tactical Mic Klip, part tmk001. The Tactical Mic Klip 2 is a different piece: two shirt buttons and a removable loop, for a body-worn camera or a microphone. A two-pack of this same klip is also a different listing. This page is the single TMK.

Will it stay on in a foot pursuit?
Officers who run with it report the klip still on the shirt after a foot pursuit, after several fences, and after a fight. One still had the klip on the shirt after the mic cord snagged a tree. If the shirt has no button or strap to hang it on, use a vest-mounted mic loop instead.
