About

Neonatal or Infant Critical Life Support in the ER, MRI, OR, ICU and Patient Transport

The pNeuton mini Ventilator provides ventilatory support to neonatal, infant and pediatric patients, and accommodates even the most fragile patients from 400 grams to 25 kilograms.

A fully pneumatic ventilator, the pNeuton mini is built to support patients non-invasively using nasal prongs / masks for CPAP application, or ventilation + CPAP with endotracheal tubes for full support.

With a built-in oxygen blender, and precise timing & pressure controls, the pNeuton mini matches the complexity of pressure-limited ventilation in standard infant ventilators.

The pNeuton mini is also compatible with the Life Pulse High-Frequency Jet Ventilator from Bunnell Incorporated to provide conventional ventilation in tandem with the Life Pulse without interfering with high frequency ventilation or nuisance alarms. This broadens the clinical application and prepares the clinician to meet patient needs during transport.

The pNeuton mini easily accommodates air or ground transport, as well as within the hospital. Due to Its unique pneumatic design, the mini is always ready to go – anytime, anywhere.

UNIQUE ADVANTAGES

CONTROL SETTINGS

Inspiratory time: 0.25 to 2 seconds
Expiratory time: 0.25 to 20 seconds
Continuous Flow: 6, 8, 10, 15 or 20 L/min
Peak pressure: 15 to 60 cm H2O (mbar)
PEEP / CPAP: 0 to 20 cm H2O (mbar)
Oxygen: 21 to 100% ± 3%, requires oxygen and medical air source

AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARMS

  • All pneumatic alarm system (no batteries – requires minimum 30 psi / 2 bar gas supply pressure)
  • Remote alarm output connection
  • Patient circuit disconnection
    • Automatic reset when alarm condition resolves
    • 20-second silence/reset button
    • 10-second activation
  • High pressure – independently adjustable from Peak Pressure
  • Low gas source pressure
    • If either source gas drops below 40 psi (2.8 bar)
    • Continues operation as long as oxygen is available

POLE MOUNT

The Pole / Rail Mounting Bracket allows the mini, mini NEO and pNeuton S to be firmly attached to vertical or horizontal poles, such as IV pole or bed rails. Poles up to 1.25” (3 cm) can be accommodated. The bracket comes with a sliding plate to allow the device to be removed from the bracket. This sliding plate is the same one that is used on the Mobile Stand. This means the ventilator can be used with both the Mobile Stand and the bracket to ensure secure mounting at various locations. The bracket can also be used in ambulances to meet European EN 1789 requirements.

HIGH PRESSURE OXYGEN HOSE

The High Pressure Oxygen Hose is used to connect the pNeuton Ventilators or MACS to an oxygen source. Hoses are MRI compatible (except for P/N 21085) and have female DISS connections on each end. International ISO colored hoses are also available.

HIGH PRESSURE MEDICAL AIR HOSE

The Medical Air hoses are used to connect to the pNeuton mini, mini NEO ventilators. Both hoses are MRI compatible and have DISS connections on each end.
