Is the AP-433 compatible with all Sapphire IV pumps?
Yes. The AP-433 is OEM-approved and fully compatible with all Eitan Medical Sapphire Multi-Therapy IV Pumps.
How do I load the AP-433 Infusion Set into the Sapphire pump?
Ensure the pump is turned on and the door is fully open.
Remove the protective caps from the AP-433 set and inspect for damage or contamination.
Prime the tubing manually if required, following your protocol, to remove air before connecting to the patient.
Insert the cassette portion of the tubing into the pump’s dedicated cassette slot. Align it so the cassette sits flat and the tubing is straight.
Gently close the pump door. Listen for an audible “click” indicating secure engagement.
Once primed and loaded, connect the distal luer lock end of the AP-433 to the patient’s IV access or line.
Begin infusion by programming the pump according to your protocol and clinical order.
Tip: Always confirm pump recognition of the set and check for any occlusion or air alarms before leaving the bedside or moving the patient.
Is the AP-433 set sterile and latex-free?
Yes, every AP-433 set is sterile, latex-free, and DEHP-free for maximum patient safety.
How fast can I get the AP-433 if I order today?
We ship quickly from our U.S. warehouse. Most orders are processed within 24 hours and can be shipped with expedited delivery for urgent needs.
Can I use the AP-433 for both adults and pediatrics?
Yes. The AP-433 is suitable for both adult and pediatric patients.
What’s the priming volume?
Approximately 22mL
Is it single-use or can it be reused?
The AP-433 is single-use only. Dispose after each patient according to your infection control policy.
What’s the shelf life/expiration?
3 years from the date of manufacture. Shelf life and expiration date are marked on each package. Store in a cool, dry place; do not use expired sets.
How is this different from the AP-409 or AP-416?
The AP-433 offers extended tubing length and one Luer site, ideal for specialty infusions or longer transport scenarios. AP-409 is a standard primary set with 2 Luer sites; AP-416 is a half set for adapting other lines.
Can this set be used for blood products?
No, the AP-433 is not approved for use with blood products.
